Westinghouse Electric at 1893 World's Fair

On May 23, 1892, as the immense fairgrounds were being constructed on the shore of Lake Michigan, the Westinghouse Electric Company won the lighting contract for the World's Fair which paved the way for creating hydropower electricity at Niagara Falls.
