Inecom
Entertainment Company finances and distributes independent films
by partnering with innovative producers and attracting
celebrated talent such as Gene Wilder, David Carradine, Keith
Carradine, Richard Dreyfuss, Ronald F. Maxwell and Hal Holbrook.
Since 2001, Inecom has released numerous feature documentaries
and instructional films for U.S. and international distribution
via DVD and digital download. By leveraging technology and
forging relationships with key industry professionals, Inecom
continues to grow its library of titles with new
releases each year.
The most recent release is a feature-length documentary called
Westinghouse which is based on
the life and times of George
Westinghouse, his companies, legacy, personality, partnership
with Nikola Tesla and conflict with Thomas Edison.
Released in April 2008, Westinghouse has already
received numerous positive reviews and is one of Inecom's top-selling DVDs.
In 2007 the Emmy award-winning documentary The Grange Fair - An American Tradition
as well as Silent Wings - The American Glider Pilots of World War II,
Pennsylvania Train Stations - Restored and Revitalized, Dr. Ravi
& Mr. Hyde and Classic Game Room were also
released.
A 2007 Cine Golden Eagle Award Winner, Silent Wings - The
American Glider Pilots of World War II narrated by Academy
Award nominee Hal Holbrook, was honored by Members of Congress
in conjunction with the passage of House Resolution 42 honoring
WWII Glider Pilots. Released in 2006 Blood and Oil - The
Middle East in World War I debuted in digital download form
exclusively on Movielink.com, and World War 1 – American Legacy
narrated by David Carradine, was chosen from among 100
documentary film entries as a GI Film Festival Selection and
Best Documentary Nominee.
Fellow filmmakers have also recognized Inecom’s films for their
quality. Out of 850 entries in the Feature Documentary category
at Worldfest Houston Film Festival, Lincoln and Lee at
Antietam was the lone recipient of the coveted Special Jury
Award for Feature Documentary. In addition, the film secured the
highly regarded CINE Golden Eagle Award for Professional
Telecast History.
Inecom’s films consistently receive positive reviews from key
media outlets such as ABC Radio Network, CBS Radio, Chicago
Sun-Times, Chicago Tribune, San Diego Union-Tribune and
San Francisco Chronicle. Inecom films have also received
“4-star” and “highly recommended” reviews from notable industry
professionals at publications such as Booklist, Home Media
Retailing, Library Journal, Video Business and Video
Librarian.
In addition to garnering positive media attention and awards, Inecom’s
films are popular with consumers. In its first weeks after
release, EXPO – Magic of the White City was the #1
available documentary as well as the #1
independently-distributed DVD on Amazon.com. It remains the #1
favorite for Chicago rentals on Netflix.com today.
